It was not the worst buffet I have been to but definitely was not the best. The restaurant was empty and this does worry me at a buffet as how long has the food been sitting there?
Good choice of curries in my opinion and i really enjoyed the soft lamb and the dahl.TURN YOUR ICE CREAM FREEZER DOWN you are wasting your ice cream as it is all freezer burnt . Shame

I had been to this restaurant several years earlier and thought it was pretty good for an Indian buffet. I was there in May (2012) for lunch on a Saturday and was put off, not by the food but by the kitchen staff. The food was fine--I have no complaint about it. Shockingly, my friend and I could hear someone in the kitchen SPITTING--repeatedly. I won't be back.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who is an Indian chef. After four years, I have experienced some ups and downs with this restaurant however, do go back as they have some excellent dishes.
Their Indian a la carte menu is quite extensive. Yes, they have a buffet however, I would recommend ordering off the menu and trying their samosas...best I have ever had and I worked at a hotel that flew in an authentic five star indian chef back in the day.
I personally do not understand some of the other negative reviews as I have passed the owner in the grocery store and he always goes out of his way to say hello and chat with me. Yes, he likes to talk on the phone while he has customers but sometimes, he is also taking orders. I am not defending his service, I get it, they have gotten used to doing it and should correct it, but I guess as a regular, it isn't a concern for me. I have dined there for lunch and dinner and again, can't understand the negative table service review. I have personally never experienced that there.
The buffet is adequate and has about 14-15 dishes to choose from. This includes lamb, chicken tikki, butter chicken, saag, matar paneer (amazing!) bartha (also amazing) indian noodles, pakorah, etc. There is a small salad bar and ice cream for dessert.
I typically order the garlic naan with vegetable lunch takeout and this costs me no more than ten bucks, with leftovers for the next day.
I do agree that they need to lower the takeout price as it is kind of ridiculous that the buffet is the same price. If you get to know the owners and become a regular, I am sure they will give you a discount ;)

Just a solid indian food buffet.
I went with a friend for lunch and was surprised as to how little "filler" there was. Everything at the buffet table was fresh and made with Kwality. :)
Naan bread was top notch. The deserts were great.

This place is a bit of a gem. It is in a plaza with a Food Basics and some other stores. I had driven by many times without even noticing it.
I went for the dinner buffet. The food was terrific. The butter chicken was especially good. Very spicy, but not too spicy. The service was attentive. It is a bit cramped and dark, but the food is worth any discomfort.

I used to love this place. I would go at least once a month. Brought my kids as well and they found things they liked as well.
But it has changed in the last year or 2. quality is really dropped.
I have ordered takeout a few times now and for some reason it costs more fore takeout then sit down. Yet the food comes right off the buffet like the rest and you get less then when yo eat there.
And whoever the older server is (probably the owner) is more interested in talking on the phone then serving me all 3 times I went for pickup. I have waited over 5 minutes before while he chats on the phone.Once ok every time. Not good

At $8.99 per person for lunch, I do not expect 5 Star food or service. The food is ok, the service, well, it is a buffet, so no big deal. Again, for the price, they should have fewer items and better items. But, their business model evidently works, since they are still in business! Do not go there for a great meal. Eat, pay $10.16 incl. taxes, do not give a tip, and leave!! Choose wisely your buffet items.

I was inspired to join Restaurantica due to all the glowing - and in my opinion, wrong - reviews of Kwality on this site. Based on these reviews, our family of five went to Kwality for Sunday dinner.
A clarification first - nobody in our family is in the food industry or affiliated in any way with either Kwality or any potential competitor.
In brief, these are the issues that meant we'll never be going back:
1. Food was not fresh. Rice was dry and stale, salads were dry and had obviously been out for a LONG time, meat was obviously not fresh and lamb tasted positively off.
2. Even taking into account the staleness of the food, it simply wasn't good. It left us with that "ugh" feeling that you get after eating heavy, bad Indian food.
3. Service was not rude but was poor in every other way. After serving us our drinks, in the 90 minutes we were there, the server did not (even ONCE) enquire about our meal or otherwise offer assistance. At one point we were even piling up our used dishes on a corner of the table while we sampled more from the buffet. And this was in a restaurant that was 90% empty.
4. Of the desserts, the gulab-jamans were OK but the other sweet was stale and had obviously been dumped on the buffet table since it was no longer good enough to sell separately. The ice cream -- one would think it is hard to screw up ice cream buckets that are purchased from a third party, but the fact that they did not bother making an effort to keep the ice creams from contaminating each other was not impressive or appetizing. My guess is that this may, possibly, be a slightly better meal on busier days when the restaurant has incentive to serve customers well. This was a Sunday evening and frankly, it appeared that they were trying to sucker Sunday evening diners into eating leftovers from the last week so they wouldn't have to toss them in the garbage. Add to this the fact that there was almost nobody else in the restaurant and it seems that Kwality felt they had no incentive to serve us well or put fresh food out. This is insulting and a waste of our money.
We had been hoping to find a good Indian restaurant in Burlington but Kwality definitely does NOT fit the bill. We will never be back.
- Order: it's an all-you-can eat buffet
