Very good food. One of the best places in Brantford for quality food. Service was a little slow this night. But normally not an issue.

The Food was incredible, Possible the best steak of 2007. The chicken penne was wonderful. The appetizers were very small in portion for the price. IE. $15.99 for 1 bacon wrapped scallop, 1 Giant shrimp, small portion of calamari and a small scoop of seafood salad. Other than the small appetizers the whole party left incredibly happy with the whole experience.

entrees were fabulous, tiramisu was just OK. Service was less than adequate. Waited too long on several occasions. Cheesecake for one guest arrived 10 minutes after the rest of the desserts. When it came time to pay I offered my credit card only to wait 5 minutes to have the bill brought back to me and then 5 minutes to get it picked up along with my card. At that point my guests were ready to leave so I excused them and waited to pay.

Food is always excellent. We have been here many times. They will modify a dish to suit your tastes. The owner is always around and out talking to the customers of which they have many regulars. Food is delicious. Have not had many desserts there. Service is sometimes a bit slow.

bruschetta bread, $8 (very good)
fettucine w chicken, $17 (good, could have used some veggies eg. peppers or mushrooms)
entre feature, brased venison and mushroom rizotto, $33 (WOW, I wish I would have asked the price of this special before ordering! The waitress did not give the special prices but, since the most expensive menu item was steak at $27 I thought a "special" would have been less than this! Very good but not $33 worth.)
Nice atmosphere, upper end of casual.
Service was very good other than not offering the prices on the specials.

We didn't make a reservation and the place was packed. Although initially we were told that they couldn't fit us in, a server walked by and mentioned that she had some tables leaving and that if we didn't mind waiting she could fit us in. Within 10 min. they squeezed us in. Although everyone was extremely busy, we had great service. We had drinks and appetizers within 15 min. of sitting down. The food was excellent, great portions and the price extremely reasonable. We will definitely go back!!! An excellent spot to go in Brantford than the usual boring commercial restaurants.

terrible service! server came over asked us what we wanted, then he proceeded to visit every other table and let them know the specials, if i had known there were specials i would have ordered one! at the end i paid debit and the server replied with how much are you tipping me...who asks that?

The restaurant is located in a small plaza in Brantford's north end. Wonderful wood oven pizza and pasta. Try the potato pizza or the gorgonzola gnocci. The food excellent at reasonable prices; the service is the only real problem. SLOW! I have dined there on 10 or 15 occasions and the food is always good but the service is always slow. There never seems to be enough staff on hand. I've seen the dining room almost full with one waitress. Having said that the food is so good that I keep coming back. The decor leaves a little to be desired and the wine list is sloppy with no vintages listed and bottles on the list that aren't always there. I would love to see a little more attention paid to the service and this place would be rated higher.
