My-Thai Restaurant

Stopped by for takeout. The atmosphere is great - spacious and airy in a big old building. The spring rolls were very good, the Pad Thai was good, but the other entrees we got (sorry, can't remember which) weren't the best.

This was our first time visiting & I was favourably impressed. Nothing special about the dining room or atmosphere, but we had very good friendly service. Waitress was helpful & attentive. The food just hit the spot (generous portion sizes) and demolished my curry craving. Would visit again.

dish was average at best. haven't been there for months because the last time was not good.

the first time we ate there we went to the location which we thought was a little cramped and over priced. So i thought I'd give it a go for take-out.
Well first off the last time I checked 4pcs for 4.99 is 4 spring rolls not 2 cut in half to make 4pcs. Then I ordered extra sweet n sour sauce and is a good thing I did cause the cups were only 1/2 full at best. (and same goes for the peanut sauce...very disappointing )
Now as far as the actual taste of the dishes, I've had better thai food and remembered it sorely as I ate these mediocre dishes. The appetizers and salads are passable, (though I could be wrong, but the crushed peanuts seem store bought and pre-crushed lacking that wonderful peanutty crunchiness). The cashew chicken (with only soft cashews) had 'fresh orange' in it and unfortunately the whole dish had this overpowering orange rind bitterness, and the pad thai ...well it isn't the best pad thai. I mean it has that pad thai flavor (and I know there is pad thai out there that tastes like a shoe) but I thought from the reviews I read that it would be something better than it was...But mabye I've been spoiled. And I would agree with what was previously reviewed and stay away from the beef I also found it very tough and didn't order it again.

So I won't be going back to My-Thai I think it lacks flavor to be charging such prices.

Great food, great sauces, awesome staff! These people care about the establishment and it shows!!!

our entire family love this place! our kids aged 3-10 request it for our dinners out. the service is impeccable. the food is not just great tasting but also good quality and healthy. people need to realize how much quaity food you can get for such a decent price. where can you go and feed 5 for between $50 and $70!? and have leftovers for the kids lunch the next day!!!!
we go about once a week or so and have never had a bad experience. LOVE IT!!!!

I have been to My-Thai three times now and have nothing bad to say about it. The servers are always pleasant (I have had a different one everytime) it has a nice atmosphere, and the food is always great. My favourite item on thier menu is there pad thai, but I have also tried a few different appetizers, which were all very good. I am going back for a fourth time on Wednesday. Prices very good as well! The best restaurant in Brantford!

Have eaten here on several occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed the meals and atmosphere!!!!!I have taken several less adventerous eaters here and they really enjoyed their meals. If you are tired of eating the same old thing==this is the place to go. From mild to spicy , meat to vegetarian, there is something zfor everyone. New restaurant goers will love the cozy, comfortable atmosphere and will savour the aromas and flavours of some excellent Thai dishes!!!!!!!!

It's strange to find a comfortable place to eat in downtown Brantford, but My Thai manages it.

They've renovated a great deal since this buildings' days as one pub or another. (I remember its short life as the Pelican and the live shows and pro wrestling exhibitions held in the back!) Beautiful interior, never too tightly packed with tables, and lots of room for almost any size gathering.

The food is fine, served promptly, hot and with a good variety of flavours. Our waitress in particular was excellent, informing us on our choices and checking in several times to see how our evening was progressing.

A very nice meal overall, and I would recommend My Thai to anyone who finds themselves in downtown Brantford.
