GREAT NORTH BAR & GRILL

First of all as a regular patron of this restaurant I just want to respond to the previous review - I have never seen kids fooling around in the kitchen. Yes the buns used to crumble as they were egg based and have now been changed. I have been coming here for the past year - they just had their 1 yr anniversary and everyone I know raves about their wings & burgers but the rest of the food is great too. Their prices are way better than most chain restaurants and the food is way better too. The owners take real pride in making everyone happy. I have also seen teams come in from the hotel and groups as large as 40 have had great service. The atmosphere is great - free shuffleboard, pool tables, basketball game, golf game etc, juke box and they have live entertainment most weekends as well. The owners also take pride in the fact that they will proof for age as a lot of bars here in town allow underage drinkers - fake id's and only checking the yr not the day & month, they will also make sure people are not driving if they have been drinking - they go so far as to drive you home if need be. A friend of mine also had their wedding reception upstairs and everyone commented on the portion sizes, how good the food was, and how fast the staff was at getting plated dinners out and cleared off after. Maybe the person who wrote the previous review should give the place another chance. We need more places like this!

Was here during a BrantNow comedy night and had never tried it before. We probably waited 30 mins before a server arrived to take a drink order. After waiting equally as long for our food we spared little time before we had to leave for the comedy show.

The burger arrived and was inedible. Half of the beef patty was "chewy" like it had been freezer burned. The bun had been toasted to try and hide the fact that it was immensely stale. The bun ended up breaking apart in my hands to crumbs.

The manager comped the burger and while I was waiting to pay my bill, I glanced into the kitchen to see teenagers throwing things at each other.

I give this place 3 months... maybe less.
