Tokyo Yaki

I've only gone to one other all you can eat sushi place, called Real Sushi in St. Catherine's. I can never remember the address, so haven't added it yet. However, it rocks the socks off this place.

pan-fried chicken noodles - best part of the meal, by far. Delicious!
spicy chicken - tasted like teriyaki with Frank's Red Hot added. The chicken was well cooked though
teriyaki chicken - nicely done, standard prepared sauce
salmon sashimi - chewy, disappointing
white tuna sashimi - good!
sushi pizza - heavy on the mayo, but alright
green dragon - they put eel in theirs here, unpleasant surprise for me! (but nice if you like eel)
variety of rolls - decent, but nothing to write home about
edamame - seemed old, didn't taste fresh.
miso soup - eh, it was okay. skimpy on the seaweed.

I left full, and didn't begrudge the $20 by any means, but I don't know that I would revisit this place. I guess I was excited when I went, and sort of disappointed in what they had. I'd rather drive out to St. Catherine's anyday!

Now, I've been to this restaurant hundreds of times before, and am a dedicated patron so by this point in time you'd think they'd know well enough to give me the best of their abilities, however everytime I visit the service seems to get worse and worse. I adore their food, they make the best miso soup I've eaten in years, however the lack of service is a definite mood killer and it'd be a huge improvement if they actually were efficient instead of starring at you dumb struck, whispering about you in Cantonese while standing behind you in the kitchen. Over all, great food, but the service could use some work.

The food is good but the service is very slow. Make sure you have lot's of time to spare when you go!

I agree with the previous review. I really did enjoy the food though it was very luxurious and visually appealing! Tasted as good as it looked too, definitley going to visit again!
