Singapore Garden Chinese Restaurant

Perhaps the only restaurant I have faced this issue with so far, but they have the rudest, worst customer service ever. They make mistake and you pay for it. Upon asking your money for return they refuse and say "you can do whatever you want with the food".

I wish I could negatively rate them here!

Even disregarding the fact that it is in a terrible location with no parking, in an old building with terrible seating and even worse decor, Singapore Garden is absolutely the WORST hakka I have ever had.
Noone was at the front to take my order for 10 minutes, I had to go back to the kitchen to call someone out. My food took 35 minutes to come out (even though it was a lunch special), it was bland and tasted like a frozen dinner microwaved too long.
I wouldn't eat here again if I was paid to. Save your money, and go to Eddies Wok and Roll, Ming Room, Bombay Chopsticks or even Hakka Village.
The only thing worth entering this restaurant is the two feet long fish they have in an old aquarium at the front. Somehow, even they seem dissatisfied.

Singapore Garden is a family owned restaurant and serves the best Hakka food in GTA in my opinion. In fact, as a frequent patron, my wife and I have seen their kitchen - it is very clean and they have different cooking areas for non-veg and veg dishes.
On the weekends, they are extremely busy and hence service can be a tad slow.
But its a clean place, the servers are not international students who work illegally for $5/hour.
Its not a fine dining place or anything, but the food is great and also tremendous value for money.

ive sat down for dinner and have taken out. when its not too busy, its quick. i only had to wait 15 min for take out on a wed night. If you go here, definitely try the lemon chicken! so bloody good!

WHAT A LOVELY FOOD AND CHEAP LUNCH SPECIAL

I really wish I had not gone there...but I did for first and last time.

Its a worst resturant I have seen in GTA. I went there for dinner. I ordered for 3 dishes plus starter and after waiting for 45 minutes i got my first starter - Veggie pakoras. It was half cooked. After waiting for another 20 mins, we were told it will take another half an hour to 45 mins for them to serve.

All the time they were busy with pickup orders. May be because they knew that people who are in resturant will not leave without eating anyways, therefore they can take there own sweet time to serve them without giving even a single bit of respect.

Finally my husband got pissed off and went to manager but she was totally non-apologetic with rudest behaviour I have seen. We finally had to leave without food after waiting from 9:30 pm to 11:15 pm. Better sit at home rather than wasting time and energy for this resturant.

GET THE CRISPY BEEF AND GENERAL TSO. They are perhaps literally the most delicious things you will ever taste. And then there's the American Chop Sui, oh my God, just off the hook!...service is friendly and good, they are human and they try their best. Portions are huge. They start remembering you by name if you go their often. I have been going for almost 10 years now. It's halaal so that's a bonus. Try not to eat too spicy though, it can seriously mess your stomache up. Try the Fried banana with honey and icecream for desert. I keep reading complaints about service, people their human, of course it slows down when it gets busy, and it can get seriously busy on the weekends.
