Side Door Cafe

I had heard rave reviews about this place so I booked a table during Barrielious. We were extremely disappointed with everything. I have been to several different resturants during Barrielious and this one was the only one that fell well below the reviews. Our table looked like it had been added last minute. It was almost in the fireplace and was uneven so it wobbled all night. I am highly allergic to seafood so I was dismayed to find that almost eveything on the special menu had some kind of seafood. The waitress didn't seem to care because I had to ask for the regular menu after a 45 minute wait for our drinks. The soup was the only good thing. The cesear salad had so much dressing that we couldn't have more than 2 bites. The chcken meals that we both ordered were cold and the veg wasn't cooked properly. The waitress didn't offer any explanation other than "oh well we're busy." I asked quietly to speak to someone in charge and was told that she was. Needless to say I won't be back!

The owner Kent is great as he mingles with the guests. Food was well presented and tasted better than expected. I am looking forward to coming back with friends and clients. Keep up the good work!

Food was horrible, owners even worse (people skills non-existent to owners). Owners treated there staff and costumers with no respect. I felt bad for the staff working there. I would never go back, and would advise people not to go.

Totally enjoyable experience. The food was beautiful to look at and wonderful to taste. If I could have rated the service higher than 10 I would have!! Will definitely dine there again.

AWESOME ALL TOGETHER! We had some friends visiting from Toronto and the Side Door was recommended. From the moment we sat down to the second we left our experinece was wonderful, service, food and atmosphere far ecxeeded our expectations. Cant wait to try out the dining room side. TWO THUMBS UP !

My whoel experience with The Side Door was amazing. We actually ate in the restaurant section connected with the Cafe. The service was fantastic and the food really blew me away. I highly recomend the double chocolate mousse cake for dessert!

We went in with no reservations but were seated no problem. The bartender was our server also and was very busy with a martini party plus getting the drinks for the main restaurant - she needed help. The food was incredible, I will go back for sure.
