We made the mistake of going to dinner here, two in our party were seniors and limited to what food they could eat and reccomended we all go there as they have other than breakfast items on their menu..The food was of poor quality, cold, and the service was worse than any place I have ever been..the first dinner served was finished before the last was served..items were forgotten to be served but still included on the bill..not a good dining experiance

For a weekend breakfast fix, The GG is the only place. Good coffee, real OJ, eggs cooked the way you ask them for. Service quick and efficient.
Little pricier then average, but well worth it.
If you crave a Canadian Breakfast, GG never disappoints.

Service was average, but the food is over priced for what they offer. Example: you pay 10.99 for the buffet but there is no toast offered? the eggs are artifical (scrambled) or at least taste like it, the corned beef hash is total crap. Wow, I can't believe I just paid 30 bucks for that below grade breakfast.
We had the orange juice (extra) and it was warm?
I wish I had waited in line at the Galaxy diner instead of coming here. My wife started getting stomach cramps after eating the eggs and I told her that it was too soon for that to happen but to prove her right I started getting them too (got rid of the breakfast in record time). The only thing I feel good about leaving the Golden Griddle was not leaving a tip. Beware of the Golden Griddle. - Order: buffet x2 coffee small orange juice

Its the Golden Griddle for crying out loud...how can you not know what to expect from the Golden Griddle if you live in or have visited frequently the area of Southern Ontario? :)
Lets face it...its a place that specializes in breakfast type fare. Yes they do offer some other things, but the focus has been and most likely always will be breakfast 24 hours a day.
A few things to keep in mind:
1) The food isn't outstanding, but its almost always of reasonable quality.
2) This isn't a steakhouse...so when you order the steak and eggs...don't be surprised when the steak is either overdone/underdone/or contains a fair amount of gristle.
3) It isn't cheap...but it isn't insanely priced either...the key here is timing...to get the most out of your money...go to the Griddle during one of their "All you can eat" buffets (I think they are primarily on the weekends as I recall)...then...go hungry and stock up on all the bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, etc...that you can.
4) If memory serves, their blintzes <SP>/crepes are pretty decent.
Oh...and if you get them on a good day during the buffet...the waffles with whipped cream or strawberries aren't a bad way to finish off your brunch.
