I once believed I had to be in Toronto to experience real indian cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to find India Village restaurant just a few minutes drive from home. This is the real deal: the food was amazing, spicy, and the portions were extremely generous. We were looked after very well and the service was friendly. I'm sure to go back, and this time with the whole family.

SO RUDE!!! I called to place an order and the girl was incredibly rude to me on the phone and said, "We're too busy for takeout orders" and hung up on me. I was in the neighborhood when I called so I drove by and the parking lot was empty!

We enjoy our Friday night take-out. The pakoras are the best light-tasting I have ever had. All of the food was perfectly spiced (we asked for medium) and there was plenty of leftovers too.

Cute, cosy restaurant. Very small, so I would make reservations if I were you. The food is excellent, and there is lots of it. The server was very attentive, and happy to answer any questions we had. Best Indian in the Hamilton area.

This is my current favourite Indian food restaurant. I tried to upload photos of the menu but it wouldn't accept them for some reason (nice and small, too!) Luckily I found that you can see their entire menu in .PDF format on their website (under construction) which is just to the right of the first review -- the link is "Official Site".
These are nice people, and they appreciate their customers, so it is a nice dining experience. While they don't have traditional goat curries, the beef, chicken, lamb and shrimp that they do offer are excellent. You can have it in a number of styles as well. And those can be made mild, medium or hot, to you liking. You can start the kids off with mild Kashmiri or Korma styles, and blow the top of your own head off with hot Vindaloo.
I've also ordered off the Vegetarian menu, getting a couple of dishes that caused me to have leftovers for next day lunch! (grin). I like the Mattar Paneer, Jalfrezi and the Korma Shahi (so far -- there's much more to try). There Kulfi for dessert, or Gulab Jamin. And they have this nice off-dry white wine I am enjoying, even if I can't find it anywhere else, from India called Monsoon Vidal Blanc. Overall, a great little find, but little is the operative word -- call ahead to make sure they can seat you. - Order: Wine from India called Monsoon Vidal Blanc, and too many things on the menu to recall. Been here many times. It's all good!

DELICIOUS FOOD!! service was amazing, the chef and his wife are very friendly and they give you handy tips on what to order! Their drinks are good, not to keen on the poppadoms, but the butter chicken is very good, they also do take out which I have had a couple of times which is also to the same quality when it arrives home! Would recomend seating reservations!

The food here is excellent, and the platter is quite nice with the addition of the potato and salad. Everything was excellent, and there was enough left over for lunch the next day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small though, so reservations are recommended.

This restaurant is fairly new. It is cozy and the service is great.
Our party ordered combos which I have not seen in many restaurants. The portions are big and the presentation and taste of the food was amazing. The beef and lamb were so tender. We had a vegan in our group and she ordered mushroom bhaji, and an Eggplant dish.
This is one of the few Indian restaurants that serves quality and quantity at the same time. The chef also introduced himself to our group which is rare in many Indian restaurants.
The place is busy since it only has 6 tables and seating for 22. We made sure we had reservations.
- Order: Paneer Tikki, Non-Veg Delight, Mushroom Bhaji, Bhaigun Patiala, Gosht Shahjani Combo, Rogan Kashmiri Combo, Butter Chicken, Beef Madras, Peshwari Naan, Kashmiri Palao, Mango and Pistachio Ice creams.
