Cora's Breakfast and Lunch

It was Saturday morning and we were thinking of where we should go. We herd of Cora's so we went there to try it out. We noticed that it had a big line to enter, but we still didn't leave. Finally when we got a table and the 4 menus, we all noticed that about EVERY PLATE HAD FRUIT!!!!!!!! That to me was weird.. The food though was very good. I think that if anyone really likes fruit, they should go here.

It was March break and my nephew had been bugging me to go to Cora's. We are usually at The Egg and I if we do go out for breakfast!

As we arrived we were seated in a back room filled with it seemed like little kids. I am 44 and my nephew is 13! So to be relegated to the kiddie room was a little annoying.

We ordered and I was specific , I wanted my bacon crisp.

Our breakfasts arrived and to my astonishment my bacon was burnt! The food runner, not our waitress served it to me a little embarrassed and asked if that was how I ordered my bacon!

The fact that this burnt pile of bacon being passed off as crisp got past the cook, the kitchen manager and our server amazes me.

As soon as it is replaced we became pariahs, no quality check by our waitress, I would have liked more toast, more coffee, but she did not approach the table until I motioned her over. She was in fact MIA couldn't spy her for the life of me!

We were presented with the bill, as I was paying the cashier had asked if everything was alright, i relayed the bacon story and got nothing back! No response again like i was invisible. Simple customer service is it too much to ask for...really?

My sons were visiting from Europe last week & we went to Coras for Brunch. It is winter time and we found they have absolutely nowhere to hang coats! The response from the staff was "this place is small and coat hangers were overlooked". Sitting in a booth is impossible with a coat on your lap if you want to enjoy your food. The food itself is very nice though. There was one coathook but it was located directly above a table of patrons.

I have visited Cora's in Ancaster several times since it's opening and have nothing but great things to say. Everything from the food to the staff is perfect! The dishes come out looking exactly like the picture and the fruit is delicious and fresh. My daughter is a picky eater and even she is in love with the menu. I would recommend Cora's to everyone looking for a great meal in a friendly atmosphere.

The food was delicious. I only wish they offered turkey or chicken bacon, or beef sausages as we do not eat pork. Fruit was fresh and delicious, not the stuff that comes out of a can.

Eggs and bacon underdone, blueberry crepes tasteless, looked more like pancakes instead of paper-thin crepes, blueberries frozen, hard as stones and this is August at the peak of fresh blueberry season! Crepes totally inedible! Hash browns and fruit only decent things on the plate. Poor presentation, service not much better, cutesy atmosphere. More like Denny's with fruit and at twice (or more) the price. Trust me, Denny's is better!
And to top it off the address on this site is wrong - should be Wilson, not Jerseyville. Was not impressed!

Well I've had many a breakfast at restaurants, and the food here was good, not great.
The wait staff is confused and not at all organized.
The food presentation is fantastic, portions OK, taste is great...
But the service is terrible, but very clean.

The food was amazing,best I have ever eaten. The service was quick and excellent even though we came early in the morning,everyone was bright and with a smile on their face. I will come back to cora's again definitely and I would recommend it to anyone. Next time when I come in I am having a raspberry burst. =)

The eggs benedict was fantastic. Compliments to the chef. Great job!
