I go here regularly and have dined in and gotten take out.

Food - The food is good. Tastes pretty authentic and fresh!

Service - The service is great. I am always greeted in a friendly manner as soon as I walk in and am served quickly.

Atmosphere - The place isn't the most modern and can come across as kind of drab, but the food and service definately make it worth it. Would choose good food and service over looks anyday.

Wow. I went there based on reviews from here and they were spot on.

I almost got cold feet seeing the decor of this place
and the pressure was on from wife to make sure I hadn't steered us wrong.

As soon as we tried our appetizer of spring rolls, I knew we were in very good hands.

Out of curiosity, we tried the coconut rice ( we are no Thai food experts) and were amazed at how good this rice was.

The food was fantastic and the service was above average (it was near empty when we got there) to the point where our waiter had our water on the table before I had even finished taking my jacket off.

This place is a gem, and I'm assuming we met the cook as well and we told him how great the food was.

Do not miss Thai Garden. If you're in Ajax and want to eat a good meal with fresh food, this is it.

The criminal part is I've lived here for a few years and have driven past this place hundreds of times without knowing that such a wonderful place existed.

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt that this deserved a thanks to all the others who have reviewed this place and taken the time to post a review.

Again, do not let the decor fool you. The food is fantastic.

I can't comment on the atmosphere since we tend to get takeout (so I marked it neutrally)

I usually drive into Toronto to eat authentic food. There are a few exceptions in Durham and Thai Garden is one of them.

We've always received friendly service on the phone, with helpful suggestions and answers to our questions and in terms of delivery.

The food itself is delicious and we always get some extra dishes, trying at least one new thing every time. Our stapes are the spring rolls, hot and sour soup, mango salad and the Thai Style Eggplant. For usually change the curries or mains but they have all been well prepared, as spicy as we've specified, authentic and delicious.

In fact, I'm waiting for a delivery right now and writing this review is making me hungrier!

i brought my friends/shinny hockey team to Thai Garden after a long afternoon of hockey. as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the warm staff, and owners whom regularly visit the customers. (take note everyone, this is special) not often do i get to dine in and speak with the owner/chef which to me is a great asset that will bring me back for sure. we ordered a slew of different dishes including; Cashew chicken, Chili chicken, Red curry beef, Manchurian Chicken, Dry chili shrimp, Chicken Satay, Spicy Calamari, Basil Chicken Fried Rice and Satay noodle. all these dishes had my mouth watering for more, we were all impressed by the quick and respectful service. There isn't much more i can say other than i was totally satisfied, to not get a stomach ache after eating spicy food on an empty stomach is a testament to the quality of the food. i will be back again soon, i would sincerely recommend this restaurant to anyone who has the taste for Thai food

Jan 2008 - Order lunch special; Pad Thai noodles and Red Curry Chicken with Hot & Sour Soup. The Soup came first. It was neither hot nor sour. There was too much starch and not much soup content. The chicken Pad Thai had short cut noodles (boken?) with what tasted like vinegar and ketchup sauce on it. The chicken curry was sweet and bland, although I told the waiter to make it HOT. There was too much coconut juice in the curry which looked pale yellow rather than Red.

I've eaten alot of Thai food and lived in LA, Malaysia, Sinagpore and Philippines. This food was a westernized version on Thai food and should of been served with fries and a shake. I won't return unless Chef Ramsey visited and changed the menu to use FRESH ingredients

Great food minutes away from home! Why drive 45 mins for great Thai food when you can go Thai Garden! Great service and awesome food more than makes up for the simple decor. Very clean. Super fast. Great dining experience. Good value.

Food is very good for a reasonable price. Prefer the takeout than the restaurant as it feels a bit like a foodcourt (very bright).

We had never been to this restaurant before and will definitely go back. Service was attentive and fast. The hot spring rolls were quick to arrive and nicely presented. Delicious! The main courses arrived soon after and the food was wonderful. We did not feel rushed and we felt our presence was valued. We will definitely return the next time we are hungry for Thai food.

The food is very tasty...just wonderful. I imagine that's how authentic thai food should taste. The dishes appear to be fresh & wholesome...fresh vegetables, spices etc. I love it.

My only concern is cleanliness. I am a clean freak and I don't like
dirty pepper/saly shakers or dirty condiment containers in general.
Just that little lack of attention to those details can be a turn off.

Nonetheless, I will still go back. I hope they read this and learn form it.

First time here and the buffet was great. 10-16 things to choose from. Was impressed by the food. Even for a buffet the taste of the food did not seem to have the 'mass made food' taste. Everything had their own flavour and texture. Not greasy as Chinese buffets. Felt good after leaving. Great food for great price.
