Tucanos Brazilian Grill

At Tucano's Brazilian Grill, eating out is a celebration! Their Fantastic Food bar has everything from salad to black beans and rice and could satisfy any hardy appetite alone. Add the grilled food option and you have a virtual feast. Servers bring grilled items, such as chicken, beef, pork, fish, pineapple and vegetable kabobs, to your table to sample. My personal favorite was the mango fish.
The atmosphere is fun a celebratory and includes festive music. I would only advise that the festive atmosphere makes quiet conversations or intimate talk unlikely.

For the salad buffet, you have your choice of several different pre-made salads and a make your own salad with so many choices, even quail eggs. There are hot and steamy mashed potatoes, beans, and general hot foods included in the salad bar as well as fruits and vegetables. The meat selection is great, my personal favorite was the juicy, tender, garlic steak, though there are almost twenty selections ranging from pork, shrimp, grilled vegetables, and beef as well as chicken hearts!

The service here is spectacular, there isn't usually a long wait, waitresses and waiters are on the spot and the meat is ready when you are.

Located in downtown Albuquerque, the most attractive parts of this restaurant are the location and the atmosphere. Free parking isn't difficult to find with a large parking structure one block south that accepts validated tickets on weekends and there is parking on the street. The large windows of the building overlook Route 66 (Central) and 1st street with a view of the newly updated train station and the bustling streets of downtown. The movie theater, Cold Stone Creamery and the Rail Runner are all within walking distance.

Really good place to eat. A brazilian buffet with meats and salad bar. Food comes fast and tastes so good.

The variety at the salad bar is one of the best I have seen. The variety of meats is excellent and they are cooked to meet everyone's tastes.

Excellent food! Located downtown, so the parking is not the greatest, but the food makes up for it!

Salad bar with many delicious selections. Wait staff bring grilled meats and vegetables to the table and slice off the amount you want. The meat is grilled over open flames. I highly recommend this restaurant for a different dining experience.

We have been there several times. The food is always excellent and there is certainly lots of it. All soups, salad and side dishes are on the salad bar. They bring to meat around on skewers and they keep serving you until you say to stop. We have only have one waitress that wasn't very good, but the manager stepped in and helped.

The Churrasco includes assorted breads, fried bananas, unlimited Salad Festival, and the full churrasco selections., ie brisket, top sirloin, beef tender, ham, chicken.... You won't leave this restaurant hungry or unsatisfied. This salad bar is wonderful with dozens of choices. The selection of meats from the Churrasco is superb. You get to eat a variety of different meat styles as servers do meat rotations. This place is all you can eat and it is certainly worth the price for the quality of food you get. My only complaint is that I am always too full to order dessert! They shouldn't even bother with a dessert menu! The atmosphere in the restaurant can get loud because of the high ceilings. It is also usually crowded. Call ahead for reservations or get there early for lunch.

Tucanos Brazilian Grill is an amazing place to eat. Meats, vegtables, and pineapple (the best) are grilled over an open flame on long skewers. The servers circulate through the restraunt with the skewers, bringing the food to you. Each table has a little multi-colored cyllinder. Place it green end up and each server will stop to offer a portion from their skewer. Place it red end up and they will pass by until you are ready for more. Lay the cyllinder on its side, and they bring the check. Add to that a large and diverse salad bar and you get a fantastic and unique dining experience. One word of caution: The food is so good and there's always more available so its very easy to eat 'till it hurts.

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes you go and it is awesome. Other times the service it bad. Still other times the meat is either very rare or well done. Medium is how most of the meat should come out.
