My wife and I walked in with no reservation late on a weekday and were greeted warmly and seated right away. The atmosphere and lighting was very cozy, and we were seated at a small booth with high backs and a window view. Very nice. If they had music playing it would have been perfect.
The service was OUTSTANDING. Being fondue novices, we had no idea what to order or what to do with the food we ordered. Our server guided us through the menu and provided instructions as needed.
I started with a Pale Ale beer and my wife opted for a strawberry flavored tequila cocktail recommended by the server. The drinks were excellent and we had a few more rounds as the night went on.
We chose the Alpine Big Night Out., which is a 4 course meal cooked and served at the table. The first course was a tasty cheddar cheese fondue with bread, apples, and veggies to dip. Everything was fresh and the dark bread was our favorite. The second course we opted for Caesar Salads and they were extremely tasty, I am not a salad eater, but I truly enjoyed this sald. It had a perfect Caesar dressing, crispy croutons and some kind of pine nuts. A really great salad. .
Third course we chose the Fondue Feast, which included Filet Mignon, NY Strip, Bratwurst, Ravioli, Chicken and Shrimp and veggies and a nice array of sauces.. We opted for the coq au vin sauce. My favorite was the chicken and the Brats, and my wife loved the chicken and the NY Strip. It was a generous portion of food, and my wife and I were unable to get through it all. The teryaki and honey mustard sauces were the best, but I recommend trying them all.
To cap the night we had the YinYang chocolate/white chocolate dessert. The chocolate sauce was amazing and we had a nice plate of strawberries, marshmallows, pound cakes, cheesecake, bananas and other fruits to dip in the chocolate. We ended up closing the place, and although they close at 10 pm, they never rushed us and we walked out after 11 pm.
We had a great time and will be back with friends. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
