Beware - Osteria Dante is under new ownership and this isn't a good thing. The new owner is not accepting gift certificates that were issued before he took over even though it had a 2009 expiration date. Claims he is suing the past owner who owes him money (not my problem). He was rude to me and my family. There are too many other good restaurants in the area to deal with this arrogant new owner.

We had the best seafood dinner in a long time at Osteria Dante Saturday night. I had Chilean Sea Bass with a thin crust of parmaggiano reggiano and the lightest tomato cream sauce you ever tasted. It was wonderful. My husband had halibut Siciliano. the sauce was made with tomatoes, olives and pine nuts. It was unbeleivable. In both cases the fish was so fresh it tasted like it came off the boat 5 minutes earlier. The kithcen staff knows what they are doing. Each fish was cooked perfectly.
I was told by the waiter and manager that the chef specializes in seafood. We can't wait to go back.

This was not our first time dinning at Osteria Dante. We are regulars since the new chef took over the kitchen last year. The food as usual was wonderful. The fish fresh and the Osso Bucco according to our friend was the best he ever had, and he is not easy to please.
What we like about Osteria is the menu changes every couple of months and the amount of specials available every night. But the fish is of the best quality we have ever eaten as well as ALWAYS cooked to perfection. The only negative comment to the owners is, with such an upscale setting and sophisticated food, why is your manager walking around in jeans. It just doesn't fit.
See you soon.

I happened to stumble on this amazing restaurant. I can only say that someone has finally been able to take the food and the service, bring them together, for an incredible experience. Congrats to you for being able to do what many have not. I will be back!

The fried calamari was wonderful. So light and tender, not over cooked. The Buffalo mozzarella was so fresh and creamy it was like eating a custard.
The grilled salmon was so different. I would swear I ate it in Manhatten years ago. The lentils were cooked al dente. The mustard sauce was wonderful. We also enjoyed the special Austrailian rack of lamb which was cooked to perfection. I will never eat New Zealand lamb again. The berry sauce was so delicate.
For dessert I stongly recommnend the cheesecake and tiramisu.

The food was incredible. The mozzarella stick was so different. Pasta dough stuffed with mozzarella(obviously), pesto and spinach. The marinara sauce served with it was sweet, not acidic. The chicken francais was so fresh. The server explained the stocks were made from scratch and the lemon juice was squeezed with in the hour.
Grandma Rose sure taught chef Joe the right way.
