Black Angus Grille

A place that serves expensive bad food with an astoundingly bad sanitation (92%) grade for this supposedly high end restaurant. Sanitation grade should be positively no lower than 99.9%. 92% is barley above "B" grade. This means there is an unhealthy atmosphere involved.
And the positive reviews.... has to be from one of two types of persons. Good friends of the restaurant or they don't get out often.

Go to the Charlotte Observer Online and look up the story, "Restaurant Sues Couple'. Or, you can Google that title. This may change your mind about dining here. It sure did for me!

I was treated very disrespectfully at this restaurant and would never eat there again. It was very overpriced and the atmosphere is horrible. But the manager is absoutely the biggest jerk on the planet. Don't waste your tie or your money. And anyone who says anything good about this restaurant, obviously ate there on a night when she was not working.

I recently had my wedding reception at The Black Angus Grille. My family and I have heard nothing but great things about the reception from our friends and family. The night could not have gone any better. The food and service were absolutely perfect. Please stop in for dinner. I cannot understand why anyone would have anything negative to say regarding this establishment. I guess some people enjoy making up stories.

We decided to have our family meet for dinner at The Black Angus and are so glad we did. The food was exceptional, everything had such good flavor and you could tell they only use fresh ingredients. We also noticed that their health grade was a 100!
The servers were very polite and attentive. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy dinner.

This place is a SCAM not a restaurant. We were traveling and stopped in Statesville to spend the night, stumbled onto the Black Angus Grille and thought we'd give it a try.
First off the place is creepy with all those stuffed animals on the walls and then you just feel like you're in a place who's trying to be something they're not. The waiter was overly polite but his clothes were dirty, we should have run not walked out! What a nightmare of a place to eat, please don't go here and tell all your friends. The food is horrible the management over charged our debt card for $36.79 and we couldn't get it back. The restaurant told the Bank we order something to go! The hotel clerk told us later that we were lucky we only ordered drinks she knows of other hotel guests who have gotten sick!

Do not go to this restaurant. The owner is very unprofessional and her management team actually cussed out the leader of our group of 61 (reunion). I have lived here all my life and have always thought this was the most high class place to go in Statesville for a great meal. The food...just plain. The service...disrespectful. The management..totally redneck. This will be a waste of your money. Please do not book large events there unless you want them ruined. They kicked us out just because enough people didnt show up...totally called the police, closed the bar and cut the lights off. Afterwards, the owner saw our group walking down the street and actually stopped, rolled down the window and cussed us out! I am totally speechless that this woman owns a business. From what I here, she has recently bought this business which has been a landmark in our city for decades. This is such a shame to me. People wonder why locals do not support local businesses...this is one example

we arrived at 630 pm we had tickets for the entertainment there that night that started at 800pm we were seated in the dinning room and our orders were taken right away the restaurant wasnt crowded then we waited and waited for an hour ,no food we were getting concerned we would miss the entertainment which was in another room 1 hr 1/2 went by still no food I told the waitress that the entertainment was starting we still havent eat the first thing ,so we then had to leave the dinning room carring our drinks and silverware to move into the entertaining room our service from that point on went down hill even more we finally got fed within an 1 hr and 45 min ,garlic bread burned black on one side spaghetti barely warm ,salads were very bitter,some said the steaks were dry others said they were good ,chicken was good,some of our party asked for unsweetened tea which was served when we were in dining room but when we moved they filled with sweet tea something was said and the waitress expressed with a long loud breath the entire dinning was awful especially for the money we had to put out and the almost 2 hr wait for food and an 18%tip added to the bill .Thank you Danny and Darlene for the entertainment if not for you guys it would have been miserable they gave 100% if they are ever there again I will listen to the entertainment and not dine its not worth it.I have never reviewed any restaurant before but this one took the cake.
