  • First, I must say that Lineberger's is NOT a "hillbilly, country, silly and redneck restaurant" as stated in another review posted. Maybe if you are not one who ventures often to nicer restaurants, that is what you would think of everything. Lineberger's is a great family oriented restaurant, great for a night out as a couple or with the entire family. As a regular, and one that is NOT a hillbilly, but a working professional, I thoroughly enjoy all the food offered. The steaks are always the best - the steaks cut fresh at the restaurant. The salad bar always has plenty of fresh and varied choices. As for the comment regarding the onion rings - those are optional. They do not come on every plate and they offer many other side choices.

Overall, this is a great restaurant and it saddens me that many will consider not enjoying Lineberger's because of one ignorant person's comments.

  • Lineberger's restaurant is in a very nice building on a very busy Highway. The place is very popular among the local people. This restaurant has changed owners numerous times over the last few years, mainly because there was no liquor until recently. They do serve liquor, as well as wine and beer. The owners price their menu items based on your traveling to the salad bar, and they give you a varying amount of small onion rings on your entree. I personally prefer not to have the onion rings, as they are tasteless and very difficult to manage when attempting to eat them. They have few quality "call brand" liquors, only the old "stand-by" George Dickle and Maker's Mark. No other popular liquors are available in the Bourbon department. Their meats have a propensity of being "stringy" which means they are using lower grade cuts of meat. The servers are very professional, but they are limited as to how pleasurable your meal can be made by the lack of choices available from the bar. Cheap meat, very cheap liquor that makes mediocre tasting drinks, a salad bar that contains massive amounts of MSG -which means that I cannot eat from the salad bar. The owner needs to serve better cuts of meat, served preferrably from a fresh-cut cart (by-the-ounce), provide those less-than-desirable onion things by request only, and throw the MSG out the back door, maybe it will preserve the local wildlife! Increase the choices available from the bar, and this could be a place to eat that is suitable for visiting members of other communities. It's embarrassing to take guests to a place as nice as this, only to be taken aback by the comments of your guests that contain adjectives like "hillbilly, country, silly, and redneck restaurant". It seems there are a lot of beer selections, but very imited wine and liquor selections, thus the "redneck restaurant" comments.

Thanks and I hope they change!
