  • ReviewI have been to many restaurants in the Lower Mainland and this gem in Abbotsford surpassed them all. We had been there for lunch and may I add that for less than you would pay for a greasy burger at Red Robin you can have a great lunch burger with sweet potatoes fries that are to die for.
For our dinner we started with the Baked Brie & Candied Pecan with blueberry compote. All dishes are obviously prepared with quality ingredients and the brie cheese was first rate and the crust just melted in your mouth. Our guests had the Goat Cheese Medallions which were lightly breaded in panko breading on a tomato garlic coulis. They were just amazed at the taste.
We all had steaks ranging from New York to rib-eye and all were cooked exactly to order and practically could be cut with fork as they were so tender. You get 5***** treatment at a very reasonable price. The most expensive Steak was only $29.00 and even if you could find a comparable meal at "The Keg" you'd be paying much more for much less. Look, don't get me wrong, other steak houses are "OK" but when you go to a non-chain you get that extra quality that BC is lacking. In fact, no joke, a Q Steakhouse dinner makes places like Milestones look like Apple Bettys in quality. It appears that Chef Dicks only buys the best vegetables and freshest ingredients and it was truly apparent that this is a very hands on approach to his love for quality dining The service was first class but you felt so relaxed in this casual atmosphere. Our server was attentive, accommodating and made us feel as if we were in a family dining room among close friends.
For Desert we shared two banana splits and for for a little over $5 each, you couldn't have a better treat to top off the night. Chef Dicks did come out and great the guests and you could tell that here was a professional chef whose care and concern for his products is beyond question. I would recommend this Restaurant to anyone!
