ReviewMy wife and I like the charm of having an ethnic breakfast or a brunch and regularly frequent the others nearby - especially after Sunday services at nearby Our Lady Queen of Martyrs. We especially enjoy the kielbasa served with eggs at JLM. Unlike others, we have noticed on recent visits that the service is inattentive and poor - almost like you are invisible at JLM. Most recently, this past Father's Day 2008 the atmosphere did not feel "just like mother's". The place was filled with breakfast goers, but the waitresses seemed stressed, unhappy and would go out of their way to ignore you. After waiting patiently for more than 15 minutes to receive menus, we decided that enough is enough and asked to speak with the manager, Jerry (who was not on premises). Fearing that complaint might make us vulnerable to retaliation by the inattentive service, we left. It's pretty bad when your customers think that you might spit in the food before they serve it.

Jerry - wherever you are, don't take long time residents of Forest Hills for granted. We are a very diverse and thriving metropolitan neighborhood, quick to recognize and applaud great food and great service. Have you considered how many restaurants have gone bust in this area because of poor service?
