Although A Little Cramped
Review By

Newtown Village Tavern in Cincinnati

2 diners, $11-$25 per person on May 10 2008
Order
BLT platter and hamburger
Review
Although a little cramped, the food and service more than made up for it. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and general atsmophere, and there is a sm. bar with a couple of TV for those not wanting a meal. The BLT was good, the tomato and lettuce were fresh, get the mayo on the side though. My guests hamburger looked huge and my guest said it was wonderful. A good restaurant with a small town feel and prices within resonable limit.

The Seating Is Very Cramped

Clough Crossings in Cincinnati
on 5/12/2008
2 diners, $26-$60 per person on May 10 2008
Order
steak and fish, no appetizers, drinks
Review
The seating is very cramped, especially on weekends. You have no space on the table so don't bring big purses, gifts, etc. Due to the cramped space, you felt as if the entire room knew what you and your guest were talking about - no privacy.
The food was ok, but the prices were a little high for the food. Due to the prices, appetizers were out of the question. My guest and I had one beer and a sm. cocktail and made a point not to order any more due to the service was very slow, unfriendly, and the prices were way out of the normal range.
As mentioned, the steak and fish dishes were ordered and they were ok, but nothing to jump up and down about. The rub on my guests fish was too much and the steak was hard, not tender.
The service could have been better, but it may be that the waiters/watiress was tired to trying to manuever in such close quarters.
