  • My girlfriend and I ate here a couple times.

We ordered takeout from here once and called our order in and came to pick it up about 35 minutes later. The person on the phone said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there and the manager said it would be just a minute. I waited over 45 minutes to get my food. Upon receiving my food I took to my vehicle and checked to see if everything was there only to find half my order was missing. I took the food back in and the manager non-chalantly apoligized and I had to even longer for my food.

The food itself wasnt great at all. Beef was tough and cold and the maki rolls were very sloppy.

  • Ordered one thing for take out, received another.
Went in on November 10th, ordered my food which was a Ruby Sushi Combo, Yam Tempura and a California Roll.

Received a Ruby Box which was chicken teriyaki and some other stuff. Mistakes happen, I can understand that. When I called to see if they can give me the food that I ordered, they refused. They said I ordered a Ruby Box which I most certainly did not. I order the same thing here all the time and he argued with me that I didn't order the correct item.

Would not offer to fix his mistake or admit that he may have misheard me. This angers me very much because I know what I ordered and he flat out denies it.

The guy at the counter should be in the back washing dishes.

LEARN BETTER ENGLISH BEFORE YOU TRY TO DEBATE WHAT I COMMUNICATED WITH YOU!

  • Every time I come here it seems to get worse and worse. Portion sizes seem smaller and smaller (aside from the bacon). My over easy eggs seem to come raw often here.

Setting is nice, because it's new and well... it's a franchise.

However the food here is generally okay. Ham slices are nice and thick. Bacon portions are generous. Egg's Benedict wasn't the greatest, hollandaise was somewhat separated and had too much lemon juice . Home Fries are decent. Egg's are somewhat small. Coffee is acceptable. Pancakes are good.

The server's here must get treated well by the establishment because they're always smiling and friendly. They treat my kid's very kindly as well and give them some attention, which makes me very happy.

I came here on a Thursday morning and they only had one server to attend to approximately 9 tables and she was doing extremely well being that overworked. I mentioned something to the manager but he kind of laughed it off.

  • I feel sorry for whoever rates this place 5 stars, they've obviously never had good food. This makes me seriously lose faith in going to restaurants based on opinions here on restaurantica...

First of all, we were seated by a sad, unenthusiastic, young waitress. Her tone was unpleasant and it was clear she didn't care at all about this place or our dining experience.

The restaurant is poorly decorated. Cheap, old cafeteria type chairs. Booth seats repaired with black duct tape. Empty bottles of German beer arranged sparsely on the dusty edge of the dining room. We were the only people here under 70 years old.

Now for the food. The rye bread at the table was stale. I ordered Dom's Chicken. It was a plain old pan fried chicken breast (not even breaded) topped with cheese and a few button mushrooms.... that's it. Who couldn't cook that at home with the greatest of ease? The meal came with the worst spaetzle I've ever had, totally doughy and undercooked, an extremely tiny, plain salad consisting of iceberg lettuce with a few onions accompanied by this MASSIVE contraption with 4 bowls of salad dressing (no way it was home made dressing). Now, don't tell me that this thing is emptied and cleaned out after every table it's brought to, there was just far too much dressing in it for them to do that. Disgusting! The meal also came with a cabbage soup, which was way over salted and had a sweet, tomato taste to it, I'm certain is was flavored with ketchup.

My girlfriend had Vienna Schnitzel. You would figure they could cook that properly.. NO! It was burnt on one side and served with that side down, (sneaky bastards). The meat was totally dry inside. The breading was peppery and tasted terrible. Her Caesar Salad had this horrible, tangy flavor and the greens were wilted. Crutons were stale. Her Chicken and Rice soup was way over salted. She also ordered rice with her dish, that came plain as can be with corn.. the corn had brown spots on it.

If I were to describe this place to my friends, I would use a variety of words that are deemed inappropriate for this website. They should be ASHAMED to charge what they do for this salty garbage.

  • Everything I've had here had two things in common, it tasted greasy and sweet. I would bet it's absolutely loaded in mono-sodium glutamate. However the Won Ton Soup isn't bad at all.

The setting is undeniably Chinese, which is what one should expect. The place seems to be kept fairly clean. The plates are nice as well, kind of a shame to serve such terrible food on them.

Service was okay. The young guy who served us seemed genuinely friendly and seemed to care about this place. Food arrived somewhat slowly.

Overall, I will not be returning as I definitely felt like crap after eating the food from here.

  • I've been here for breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast was pretty much mediocre. Country ham was good, Egg's were adequate and cooked nicely, Home Fries didn't taste the least bit fresh, Bacon wasn't the greatest, Pancakes were great, Rye Bread was fresh, Coffee was good as well.

For lunch I came with my son. He had the sliders, which consisted of an extremely small patty, even for a slider, they were way too small, overcooked and therefore totally dry as well. My son only took a few bites of 1 of the sliders. I had the Killer Seafood Soup which was hyped up by the waitress. It wasn't the greatest, definitely nowhere near "killer", a thicker, more rich broth would've made it worthwhile but it was very thin and bland. The seafood in the soup was okay, there was a fair amount in it and it wasn't overcooked. The garlic loaf the accompanied the soup was nice and soft, warm and somewhat flavorful.

Why... oh why are some of you people giving this place 5 stars for atmosphere!? These people are either blinded by nostalgia or just have terrible taste This place needs a serious renovation. Mismatched, old, tattered and grubby chairs and tables are unacceptable. These things are wobbly, ugly and uncomfortable to say the least.

Service was acceptable. Coffee was refilled when I needed it, food came reasonably quick and the waitress was friendly enough.

Overall I would give the food a 2.5 if I could. I would need some serious convincing to return here.

  • Went here with my Dad. I've been eating Middle Eastern food for around 20 years and it's one of my favorite types of food to eat.

This place had some of the most disappointing food of it's genre I've yet to try. Everything about each item I received was below par and had a sloppy presentation. Anything deep fried wasn't crispy. Flavor's weren't there when stacked up against other places.

Service was unfriendly, the staff seemed extremely introverted and uninterested. The place itself was grimy and poorly decorated.

We had a few bites, tasted everything and left most of it there. Total waste of money...

  • My mother used to take me here when I was a kid. Now I get the pleasure of taking my two sons here to enjoy the food.

The decor is old fashioned, pleasantly lit and hasn't been updated since I can remember, but they keep everything extremely clean and the 'oldness' is really part of it's charm.

The menu hasn't been updated either, aside from the odd special they have attached to the menu. All the food I've tasted from here is packed full of flavor, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everything about it has a wonderful home cooked and hearty feel about it. The portion sizes are what you would expect from a place like this, you're definitely not going to leave hungry. Great selection of beers that compliment the food as well.

The wait staff is friendly and accommodating (even when my youngest son is acting up). They always have a friendly smile and make you feel welcome.

Overall, a great value and a great place to take the family. Definitely a surefire recommendation.

  • I take my family here on weekends once in awhile, it get's pretty packed and is full of banter, I personally kind of like that in the morning. The decor is quite outdated. Unfortunately, some of the highchairs are a little sticky. The wait staff is friendly, one guy maybe a little too outgoing, we can always hear him throughout the meal.

The portions are somewhat decent. The coffee isn't anything special, pancakes are hit or miss, home fries are good, ham is a little on the thin side. Egg's Benedict were not the greatest. Prices are acceptable and everything seems to be cooked properly. Food arrives quickly, waitress will come a couple times during the meal to refill coffee etc.

  • I'm so disappointed. I took my family here on August 6, 2011. I ordered my food and paid at the counter (which is how their system works and that was fine with me). I received my cup of coffee and went to fill it up, as I was about to add my milk into my coffee, I noticed a COCKROACH crawling on the edge of the milk container. I was appalled. I pointed this out to the waitress and she was quite nonchalant about it. She gave the milk container over to the manager who then flicked the cockroach off the milk container and attempted to step on the cockroach.

I went up to the cash and asked for my money back and the waitress looked shocked that I would ask for my money back, I said I would pay for the drinks aside from the coffee because they were in sealed containers. I eventually got my money back and she gave me over $15 dollars of it back in the form of change. I would've liked to talked to the manager but she decided to hide in the kitchen. As a manager or owner, whatever she was, I would assume she would've liked to at least apologize about the incident.

This is the first time I've ever seen a cockroach in any establishment and I eat out with my family at least twice a week.
