VERY SAD !
JAM'S Bistro is a perfect example for BAD OWNER CHANGE. This restaurant used to be a regular lunch place of mine. After owners have changed the restaurant went down the drain. Service is horrible and food does not even come close to what everyone was used to @ JAM'S Bisto.Things have changed - certainly not for the better.
These folks don't even have their web page managed. Two different dates.

Jan.26What is the current menu?
As old as the dates is the food. Too bad for this location.

New Town Bakery is famous for their steamed buns and apple tarts. I truly believe that there is no other bakery in Metro Vancouver which could compete with their apple tarts. A must for everyone who like sweets.

The restaurant is located inside the Shangri La Hotel in Vancouver.
The dishes feature regional ingredients with a focus on fish and Asian cooking styles.
This restaurant is an absolute must for everyone who likes to enjoy culinary delights. Service, food preparation & presentation all can only be rated as perfect.Sable-fish $28
Cooked Salmon $25
Grilled Tuna Burger $19The bar offers extremely delicious Margaritas for all those who do not need to drive.

We went here to taste the concept of healthy eating. No oil, no marinade, not even open flame. The waiter explained that the dishes are presented on heated volcanic granite. The restaurant offers a stunning view surrounded by ocean and mountains on three levels.
starters: $ 8 - $16
Mains: $20 - $60 - Order: Alberta beef - super Prime, T-bone, rack of lamb (New Zealand) Ahi tuna
- I love this place.

The best thing they serve are their grilled panini sandwiches. In particular, though I think this is no secret, the chicken and turkey panini are amazing.
I also quite like their daily specials they prepare from scratch (the main reason that JAM'S has so many regulars) every day and the Turkey Cranberry sandwich, which is like the panini made with real oven roasted turkey.
Only downside is that their good stuff is usually gone by 1.15 pm, so try and get there early. We also celebrated a birthday party at JAM’s last year on a weekend and enjoyed great service and food. We had ordered BBQ and Indian dishes and the owners brought in a well known Chef and she prepared authentic Indian food .
For a restaurant of this kind, located in an office park, JAM'S is one of a kind. Clean and modern. However, I can't give 5 stars for atmosphere, due to the nature of the business.

After reading in the local press about this restaurant and it's chef Jeremy Keighley, we went to White Rock and checked it out.
We ordered:
a) Pacific Sable-fish @ $28
b) Fraser Valley Breast of Duck @ $27The average folks might call it expensive, however, we thought it was worth every dollar. Service was great and presentation of food excellent. After visiting this place, I would call it a gem at the White Rock waterfront. Almost forgot to mention the amazing view at Semiahmoo Bay. The interior is stylish and contemporary.

This restaurant has won many awards and once you enjoy your meal here you will learn why. The elegant setting was designed by world famous Vancouver based architect, Bing Thom. A friend of mine celebrated his weeding here last year with 250 guests. If you don't have a reservation, prepare for a long line up, especially on weekends. The only disadvantage in this restaurant, like in any other restaurant of this size, could be the noise level and occasionally waiters with little knowledge of the English language.
We always enjoy our food here. For me and my family this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. We ordered yesterday the following dishes:
Steamed Alaska King Crab, Roasted Squabs and lobster. - Order: Steamed Alaska King Crab, Roasted Squabs and lobster

You will find this restaurant in Queen Elizabeth Park. This glass-wrapped restaurant offers stunning views of Vancouver’s incredible skyline and the North Shore mountains. Residents of Vancouver should bring their visitors here. It’s really spectacular.
The service here is always very good and staff is very accommodating. We ordered: 1) Grilled Steak & Eggs (6 oz strip-loin), scrambled eggs served with roasted potatoes 2) Miso Soy Marinated Black Cod
with jasmine rice. Both dishes were priced at $26.
We enjoyed with our meal a BC wine from the Okanagan 'Mission Hill Five Vineyards', priced at $30.

It was our first visit to THE BUFFET. We were exited and indulged at the buffet featuring both culturally diverse and traditionally inspired dishes.
this place is really huge and features more than 250-seats.
The staff informed us that they always change their menu so we could find a complete new selection when visiting again. If you can make it over there during the week for lunch you pay only $17 / person which even includes soft drinks and coffee, - Order: buffet

If you have never been to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (my friends call it short: Cooking School), well you have to try it. The restaurant is located just at the entrance to Granville Island.
I went there recently and ordered the following:Appetizer: Red Beet / Gravad Lox ($9)
Main Course: Lamb Saltimbocca ($19)
Wine:
Hester Creek Okanagan Valley, BC Glass ($8)This meal was a culinary delight. Pricing is very reasonable in comparison to the big names here in town.
