Good stuff! Similar to the previous reviewer, we also got there at 6 pm on a Friday and got a table right away. It was not very busy at all. That's where the similarity ended, though. The server was quite attentive and the food was great. The garlic bread was quite excellent with just the right amount of seasoning. The soup was very tasty and good consistency but too expensive at $7.24 for a bowl and the garlic bread. The stromboli and fettucine alfredo was quite good (I was pleasantly surprised by the stromboli). The thing that most impressed us, though, was manager Brian going around and chatting with the customers at their tables. Especially in contrast with the East Side Mario down the road, this was a very pleasant experience.

Food was very respectable. Many Chinese restaurants in the area skimp on quality but this was good with no flaws. Service could have been better (didn't check how things were; never brought glass of water for third person).

Waitress wasn't overly personable or attentive but not horrible ("Below Average" rating is appropriate). I had 1 pc fish and chips which had the smallest fish piece I've ever seen at a restaurant. The fries were cooked from frozen. Others at the table had the burger (seemed to be good), perogies (also seemed to be good), and a chicken sandwich.

When we got there, we were told that there was a wait of 5 to 10 minutes for a table. We waited 25. The service was very friendly but also quite inattentive. I was missing a fork when we got to the table and asked for one but never got it (luckily I didn't need it). The wait for the food was OK but the waiter wasn't around much after that. Empty dishes sat on our table for 15 minutes. Food-wise, though, the taste was good. My wife said the fajitas were the best she's had in a long time. My chicken pad thai was good, although the slivered carrots could have been shorter.

The best place in town to get an Italian deli sandwich. It's primarily a grocery store but they do sandwiches to order for takeout. Avoid on Saturdays, as they're far too busy. Closed on Sundays normally.

Food was quite tasty and relatively quick (unlike other reviews). Presentation was top-notch. Service, however, was atrocious, as the server didn't return to my table at all after the food was brought. No "how are things?", no drink refills, no clearing of the plates, not even the cheque. I went up to the cash to pay the cost of the meal and made sure to get my change. Every single penny.

They've definitely gone downhill over the past few years. The enchiladas were literally tasteless (Campbell's soup has more flavour). The menu said that the burrito was supposed to come with rice and beans but it only came with rice. When we asked the server, she said that it only came with one side. We weren't overly hungry so we didn't challenge it. The seat that I sat on had an enormous tear in it, as did the one in the next booth. I can't see it still being open in a year.

The half-pizzas were thin and floppy but tasted good. The Chicken Vegetable soup was good. Lunch specials were overpriced for the value. Dessert was another matter, though, as all of the desserts were expensive but wonderful. I'd recommend them for the desserts but not the lunch specials.

I went to this new Popeye's a few days after opening. It was a Sunday at lunchtime. They were horribly understaffed. I waited 30 minutes to get to the front of the line, where I waited an additional 10 minutes for someone to take my order. The chicken was wholly backs and drumsticks. Not a single breast out of 8 pieces. We also only got 2 biscuits instead of 4 (found out at home) and our mashed potato container was only 3/4 full. The chicken itself was incredibly greasy. When I went back the next day to complain, the manager offered me a free lunch. When I mentioned to him about the absence of breasts in my previous meal, he said that there should have been one breast in every three pieces but that the staff was likely inexperienced. When he turned to tell the person who was loading up the chicken, she replied to him (somewhat indignantly) that they didn't have enough breasts to do that.

Summary: it could just be startup problems but it could also be massive mismanagement. I won't likely know since I won't ever go back.

Got take-out. The lemon chicken was tasty and plentiful but very greasy. The rice was tasteless, except for a slight burnt taste. The rice was ordered w/out mushrooms but came with them. Fortune cookies were missing. Their quality is going down over the years.
