Freshly prepared food combined with a low price make a great restaurant. Unfortunately the décor and service is dated, so it certainly doesn't look like much from the outside.
While we were waiting for our meal, the people next to us received their Souvlaki meals. It smelled heavenly, and next time we go we will order that.
A delivery man delivered several bags of fresh vegetables which is a pleasant change; most restaurants order all their food from Sysco or similar companies, which usually results in less than spectacular meals.

Not going to visit again. Food wasn't bad, nor were the drinks, but the service left much to be desired. Places like this give organic, fair trade food and drink a bad name.
The food was prepared while we waited, but virtually every other bistro in Vancouver will bring it to your table; here it's self-serve: after a 10 minute wait the order was called and we had to pick up the order, get cutlery and condiments, et cetera. For the price of the meal it's not too much to ask for the meal to be delivered to the table.
The drinks weren't prepared with care at all. My pint was poured in a way that would make any beer aficionado shiver, and the chai latté was more ice than latte.
Similar cafés exist in Vancouver, such as the excellent Caffé Artigiano, and they're a better choice for, surprisingly, slightly less money.

We were walking around downtown in search of a random place to eat. Walked past Biff's and were drawn in by the intoxicating aromas wafting off of the patios.
Biff's participates in the Summerlicious promotion, and we were lucky to get a three-course meal for $25 per person. Based on the food quality we received, this is an excellent price. The Caesar salad was fresh, with a homemade dressing. It contained black olives and a single, large crouton instead of bacon bits and numerous croutons, a welcome change from the standard, boring salad.
The salmon was baked to moist perfection and didn't have a sauce that so often ruins a nice piece of salmon. My fiancée ordered it, so I didn't eat more than a bite, but it was excellent.
I ordered the Moroccan chicken with couscous, which was good; the chicken was moist and lightly flavoured, the couscous wasn't mushy and was also lightly spiced. However, I preferred the salmon, as it was more flavourful.
The service we received was very attentive and courteous. Evidently we had better waiters than some of the other reviewers or the restaurant has improved their service considerably. Our water and wineglasses were never allowed to go empty, and the timing of the food (appetizer to main course, main course to dessert) was excellent.
- Order: Caesar Salad, Moroccan Chicken, Baked Salmon, Chocolate Torte

Just dirty. It's fine if you're high or drunk and looking for some greasy food but I can only assume that's what its purpose is. It's the worst of the Ghetto housing translated into a restaurant. If it wasn't for Kingston's terrible municipal inspectors, it would have been closed down years ago. They're so cheap they don't even have a debit machine, but have an ATM that they skim profits off of (fee to use it).
Very expensive to boot, especially when you consider that they don't have a cleaning budget. - Order: Pizza, poutine.

Great food, great service, fantastic prices. Two steak subs are $2 more than ONE at Subway, and tastes better. Very clean, neat store. Fast, efficient service. Definitely the only place in the area for subs.

Great delivery or takeout pizza. Good service, good prices, good pizza. Unbeatable--much cheaper than the alternatives, and better pizza too!

Cozy little restaurant in New Liskeard, we went here for the first time after Rooster's told us it would be a 2 hour wait for a table.
Great, friendly service; food is certainly good, not phenomenal; more of a home-cooked style.
Desserts are fresh off the Sysco truck, be forewarned. Not bad desserts, just not worth it. Go get a nice bottle of wine with that money instead.

Despite having a significant proportion of the food pre-made and frozen for later use (at least it's not all Sysco), the food is actually quite edible. My fiancée and I go here every time we're in Kingston, if we have already been to Atomica, that is.
Beer is fairly good, not stunning, but it's local, unique, and definitely worth a trip!

Probably the best food I've ever eaten in a restaurant. My fiancée and I visit every time we come to Kingston. Incredible value for the price. NO SYSCO CRAP! Everything tastes incredibly fresh.
Bruschetta is the benchmark for bruschetta in Southern Ontario, in my opinion. Only the freshest ingredients are used, and it shows.
Pizza is delicious. Funghi is my favourite; Retro is my fiancée's favourite. Strong, fresh flavours blend together for a virtually orgasmic experience.
Dessert is excellent. Tiramisu is served in a coffee cup.
Coffee here is excellent as well.
- Order: Pizza, bruschetta, tartufo, tiramisu
