This sushi place is pretty much the best sushi place on the mountain, although, i dont know how to get there by bus i make people drive me to get this sushi.

The sashimi pieces are HUGE and very fresh. There also isnt a limit on how much sashimi you can have, so, we went all out.

i like the idea that you write down the number of the roll or piece of sushi and how many you want. They then take the paper write it down for the chefs and bring it back to your table. So if something comes to your table and you didnt order it, you can tell them and show them on the paper you didn't order it.
All, in all, the food was amazingly good and i will return.

The only negative things i have to say about this sushi place is:
- Not filling the water fast enough
- they did not tell us how many pieces of deep fried tofu was in one order, we ordered 2 'deep fried tofu' and ended up with 8 pieces.
- The salmon rose, or 'salmon flower' falls apart when you pick it up with your chopsticks
- the edamame portions are too small.

but other then that i will definitely go back.

I used to go to sushi star a lot, at LEAST 2-3 times a week, until i was waiting for my sweet potato rolls and i look over and the lady dropped them on the floor put them back on the plate and SERVED IT TO US.

I said "Um i saw you drop those on the floor and put them back on the plate"

She then said "no they are still good" i replied with "are you kidding me" she walked away and we got up and left the place.

This little place beside pizza hut on upper James just opened up and it has got to be one of my favorite places for sushi in Hamilton. This is also the only sushi place on the mountain which is awesome because i don't have to go downtown anymore.

The manager and sushi chefs are really nice and speak English very well. Our orders took a bit more time then other places but it is worth it.

The menu did not say all you can eat but the guy who worked there told us they had it. I will go back and try the all you can eat because it comes with chinese food as well.

They also threw in a free miso soup and salad when we went.

The place is clean and the people are awesome. I will definitely go back .

Green tea is a good place o go for sushi in london. The sashimi is HUGE i love huge pieces. Most sushi places fill your glass with pop but this place has cans which is good. the sushi had a little to much rice on it but it was acceptable.

Now, the tempura was ok but the octopus we ordered was BLACK, i guess they didnt change their oil. It was disgusting. We also ordered spring rolls and they were also kind of brown when they should be a golden yellow.

CHANGE YOUR OIL PLEASE.

the waitresses were very nice and polite.

The deep fried custard buns were fantastic. the handrolls were very good. Most of the food was very good minus the deep fried stuff.

i would definitely go back here.

i LOVE going to Hoya now that they have All You Can Eat. When you walk into the place you are greeted by every person in the place including the sushi chefs.

The food is absolutely amazing. I always order the Salmon cream cheese rolls. They are AWESOME!!! The miso soup is also fantastic and the avocado is always so fresh. The sashimi is also very good and with a hint of lemon.

The only problem i have with Hoya is that my drink rarely gets filled and i can never see the waitress sitting in the booths they provide so i never get water.
Also, the dragon rolls are way too big to fit in your mouth and you cant exactly take 2 bits out of them and Ice cream is charged. Every other place puts ice cream into the all you can eat.

Other then that i go to this place a ton and i love it.

I really liked this restaurant! they had a patio and were very polite. A little expensive but it was worth it. The avocado handrolls were AMAZING! i would definitely go back.

The people were very nice. The food was awesome.

SO after deciding what i wanted, i went with the 20 dollar new geno bento box. When it came, The sashimi tasted real bad and usually i can finish about 10-20 pieces no problem.
The sashimi had a very weird taste and i DID NOT enjoy it.

The pieces of sushi i got in the bento box was was cut so thick i could not even fit it in my mouth. Too much rice.

The service was alright, although i had to keep asking for water.
The manager was very nice and kept telling me that my box would be there soon, but it didn't come for a while. Everyone at the table was half way done before i got my meal.
I don't think i would go back to this place. There is a better sushi place in Kensington market.

i love this place i always order the buffalo chicken wings with mild sauce. they have this ranch sauce they give you and that sauce is amazing. i love the fries as well.

next time you go, try this... they make their own vanilla coke, so one night i thought, why dont they put a shot of vanilla in the orange pop? creamsicle pop? oh yes! try that its amazing.

service is great. only one time did i go there and they didnt serve us for at least 20 minutes no drinks or anything and the manager came along and said have you been served and we said no so she said that all our appetizers are free. sweet.\

the service and food are great here. always leave satisfied.

the waitresses were awesome; filled our glasses, had tones of napkins and asked if everything was good about 4 times.

the food although, great but it seemed to fall apart.

it was good that if you paid cash they would give you 5% OFF. that was pretty cool. \the place was clean

first visit: first time i went we looked at the menu and noticed they didn't have sweet potato rolls. we asked and they went out of their way and MADE us sweet potato rolls. I asked if they had dragon rolls and they said no but they could make it for us... so they did! talk about service :) they kept filling our glass after a few sips. we decided to order something unusual, so we asked the waitress if we could have ONE octopus ball, they ended up making 4 of them we didn't like it so she didn't charge us for them.

second time: the staff is very good looking. great experience although we had to get our glasses refilled.

third time: went for a birthday party with 5 people. they asked us for our orders and they all came at the same time..... it was amazing. they kept filling our glasses and asking if everything was okay.

best sushi place in hamilton.
