  • This place hasn't changed in years, which is just fine with me. Pancakes were wonderful, as was the sausage. Will return. Staff are very friendly.

  • This restaurant attracts a fairly large number of older and, well, larger people. Small wonder. The food's OK, and there's all you can eat at basically every sitting. They ask when you arrive if you'll be ordering from a menu. I suspect few people do. The selection of food is adequate, but most of the offerings are a bit on the bland side. Avoid the beef, as it's relatively chewy.

  • The Wildcraft Salad was nice, although not something I'd write home about.

The Wild Mushroom Chicken Scallopini was tasty, but there sure weren't very any mushrooms, and those that were there didn't seem to be particularly wild. Maybe they were just chopped up so fine I couldn't tell anymore, or maybe they were just over cooked. Anyway, a bit disappointing from that regard.

  • It wasn't a particularly hot day, but the ice cream I ordered melted incredibly quickly, making it hard to eat. I think the freezer wasn't working sufficiently well. Also, one person in our party had a cone with a hole in the bottom. Not unexpected for hand made cones, but if you don't happen to notice in time, then you'll have drips of chocolate all over the front of your shirt.

The Marble Slab Creamery has a unique twist on the old favourite of ice cream, but I really like the old style ice cream shops, where they served up as much ice cream as they could on a regular cone, without having to weigh it before serving to a customer. This place was pretty pricey too - about six bucks for a cone.

  • Vincenzo's offers great sandwiches (which you can order online if you're a regular) from their great selection of deli meats and cheeses. Great lunch place. Very quick, although lineups sometimes can discouraging. (You have to line up for both the sandwich and the cash.)

  • I ordered the "Astor Blaster" thinking this signature beverage must be great and warranted the price. Very disappointing. Super sweet, and mostly ice. Should have let the ice melt before drinking it, I guess.

The lobster dip was ok, Nice flatbread wedges.

The Greek salad was ok, but not spectacular in any way. I should have ordered the burger - a safer bet at a place like this.

  • What is is about Dairy Queens? The staff almost always have stained uniforms, and this locations wasn't an exception. It's not a car repair shop, it's a place that serves food.

That aside, the sundae was ok, but a little on the overly sweet side. Not the best ice cream, and dressing it up they way they do didn't help a whole lot.

  • Say what I ordered a few times as quickly as you can and you'll know what I mean. That said, the dish was wonderful. I wish restaurants would remove the shrimp tail shell, as I've never figured out a polite way to eat these things without my fingers. Nice selection of seafood, wonderful fat noodles, nice sauce which could have been a touch hotter. Waitress was nice and accommodating. Will return.

  • Swiss Chalet occasionally misses with their chicken dinners, but on the whole they do a good job. This takeout order was no exception. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the fries we a little over done but otherwise fine. Nothing mush to gloat over, just an overall good meal.

  • Second time ordering from this place, as we were relatively happy with our first ordering experience. Pizza was excellent. Loads of toppings, and not as fatty as the meat crazy pizza we had last time. Salad was pretty good considering it was for delivery.

  • Order: mediteranean pizza, caesar salad, etc
