Little hole in the wall restaurant on a side street right next to our hotel, The Royal Sonesta. Had the crabcakes last year on our visit to New Orleans and couldn't wait to get back and have them again!! We ate there 4 out of 5 night visit. The bananas foster ice cream cake was huge!! The people that work here are fantastic and treat you like family. The food comes fast and is plentiful and we were always seated immediately. Will never visit New Orleans without having dinner here. Can't wait to get back!!
- Order: Crabcakes, red beans and rice, steak, bananas foster ice cream cake

My husband and I went to New Orleans for our honeymoon and thought we would try this restaurant because we had a gift certificate. It was so good and the atmosphere was perfect. We actually went back the next night to eat there again. We can't wait to go back to eat.

The Jumbalaya there was amazing. Lot of spice and it was very filling. I always had a hurricane drink (lots of rum) It was a nice atmosphere and was tons of fun.

My husband and I were in New Orleans for 7 days and it is a good thing we didn't find this place until the night before we left. If we had we wouldn't have tried any other places. I can honestly say I have never had food like this before, and we eat out a lot! Every meal, which we ate 3 here, was better than the one before. The service was outstanding and every waiter and waitress was extremely friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean for New Orleans and there was plenty to look at on the walls when the wait staff wasn't keeping us entertained. I would recommend this restaurant 100%. I wasn't all that thrilled with New Orleans but this place made my vacation!!!

The catfish on the po'boy was closer to being a sardine in size. When it was brought to our server's notice, she said another woman had complained about the same thing a few days earlier. My husband has a bridge across his front teeth and he was concerned about pulling it out trying to bite through the tough french bread used to make the sandwich. My Redfish Amer was ok, the fish itself was pretty tasty, but the sauteed vegetables and garlic potatoes all tasted the same - no difference in flavor, just a lot of garlic.
- Order: Fried catfish po'boy, Redfish Amer
