Big Dipper

This place is a landmark in this town. Everybody knows where the big dipper is. No one I have ever talked to did not like the food there. They get you in and out fast, and they NEVER get your order wrong... EVER. This place is the bomb.

This is defintely the best burger in town. It only takes a few minutes to get in and out of the drivethru, and it's well worth it. The service is fast , and the food is always the same-GREAT. I'm a local and I would never pass on a dipper burger.

This is the best burger in Owensboro, bar none.

The facility is in a very inconvenient location. It is nearly impossible to make a left turn into it due to heavy traffic on the street. Once in, you must circle the building in a space much too small for everything located there: drive-through lane, parking spots for walk-up windows, picnic tables, etc. The staff is very discourteous.

I have been an admirer of the Big Dipper since childhood. This tiny, family-owned "drive-in" has been serving delicious food to throngs of loyal citizens since the year I was born, 1954. They make the best burger, shake, chili, and pig in a blanket that you can get anywhere. The food is ready in moments, and in all the years that I (and many others that I know) have patronized them, not one unsavory bite has ever been presented to any of us. The topper is that the "dipper", as it is affectionately known, is almost crazy inexpensive. Fast, delicious, consistent...it is great!!
