Mexico City Cafe

I dont know how someone can say the price range is $ 11 to $ 25. The dinner menu ranges from $7.25 to $ 8.50. and the smaller plates run $5.25.
You can't find a lower priced and better Margarita for
$3.75 for 16oz. Some people are just jealous!!!!! I guess you must eat a place to review it!! DUH!!

I don't understand some of the bad review unless it is someone with a grudge against their waitress. Great Place, GREAT FOOD. Service was great as well. My friend had a mixed drink from the bar and also very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

If this is the best that La Junta has to offer and the locals think it is good I feel soo sorry for them. I thought I had bad food and service before but since I tried this palce the others were great. I have no idea what keeps this place open. Stay away stay far away from this place. The water was the best part of this meal!

Mexico City is the place for Mexican food in the Arkansas Valley. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very friendly and the food is great! I plan on returning very soon.

Some people have no scruples! I LOVE Mexico City and eat there often. I have never had a cold meal or poor service.

Ask any of the local faithful, Mexico City is the place for mexican food in La Junta.

Worse than the worst I have ever had. I have to agree with LaJuntaFoodie860 on most things. Two of our 4 plates were stove hot and the others were COLD! The burritos were ok, the enchiladas had no meat at all. The hot green chile was not hot at all and the enchilada sauce was just plain weird, what little there was!! The salsa tasted like Pace and the chips were cold and stale.

It had been years since I had been back to La Junta and I wanted Mexican food. I should have listened when friends told me to skip Mexico City and go to El Azteca, I wished I had listened.. We went to El Azteca the next night and it was great. I remember when Mona had the place and it was excellent then, she must really be upset what the new owners have done. As far as the bartender goes, we had no dealings with her but once I heard her I remembered her from the Elks Club so that explains that. We must have all left at least half of our food there.

All I can say is SKIP this place!!!

Worst food I have ever had. Cold, bland, just plain gross. The service sucked, the music, which was cowboy music, was way too loud. The bartender was loud, crude and rude. NEVER NEVER again

Great place to eat. Is an excellent family restaurant.
Be sure to take cash or check as they don't take credit or debit cards yet.

Very helpful, they could do better on their salsa serving though by having larger salsa bowls. The salsa comes in a little sampler cup which holds 3-4 tablespoons.

Skip this place!!! Slow service, almost no service. Annoying place to dine!

BEST mexican food in the valley - we do know good mexican food - would eat there every week if we lived in the area!
