El Farolito

The meal selection is awesome! Comparable price with other buffets yet this is authentic homemade tasting food. The one annoying thing is that female restrooms are not completely accessibe. You need to go through the cashier to go in. The place is impressive and I believe it's time to expand. It has this small town dining atmosphere to it but it would definitely benefit from extra space. Love the displays on the walls. Overall I would describe this place in one word. IMPRESSIVE!

We had the buffet and the selection was great. There was something for everyone in our party and we're a hard group to please as some like spicy some don't, etc. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, perfect for an informal dinner get together with friends.

El Farolito serves "chilango" Mexican food--the cuisine of Mexico City. Chilangos (residents of Mexico City) are thought of in Mexico much as New Yorkers are thought of in the United States, but they have an additional reputation for excellent food and excellent service. El Farolito lives up to this reputation. The style and ambience are very much like what you would expect in a good, family-style restaurant in Mexico City. I have eaten there *many* times, and the food has always been phenomenal. The menu is extremely varied, ranging from tacos de carne asada--the Mexican kid's hamburger--to indigenous Indian foods like sopes (similar to American Indian frybread, with various toppings)--to other regional Mexican specialties, such as Vera Cruz seafood--and some standard American favorites, like fajitas. If you've been to Mexico and are missing the food, come here.
