Mission Cafe

Wonderful clean diner. Food was great. Friday, noon more staff than customers, owner not in. Menu slightly cluttered and difficult to read. over all rating . . . great.

I love diners, the old kind that you used to find in small towns and out of the way places. My Mom told me that if they were busy, that was good. Well, then the Mission Cafe must be great.

They have a unique menu that is themed around the 50's. Great black, red and white decor.

I ordered a cheese burger (57 Chevy) and my only comment is WAY TOO MUCH TO EAT. That was ok though, because I shared part of my meal with one of the bottomless pits I was with.

The service was a little busy which meant that they weren't quite as organized as they might be. After talking to the owner I learned that she had recently taken over and remodeled the restaurant so they are working out all the kinks.

I'll definately go back, but then I like to go to San Juan Bautista!

Very good place. Great people/service. Will definitely go there again. Next time I will try something on the Lunch menu and come back to write another review.
