A great place to go for fish!!! Always fresh, good portions, really good service too, reasonaly clean. My only gripe is its a little pricey, 8 bucks for a lunch special that includes a drink, 1 big piece of fish and plenty of fries and slaw.... I guess its worth it, but I would go there WAY more often if it were a buck or 2 less expensive.

The food there is really good. My only complaint is you pay $15.00 for fish and chips and you could get a whole meal at Red Lobster with salad for the same price. It is way over priced.

I have been going to York Shire since 1987. Whenever I visit Lancaster I always go here because the food is always great! Fish is always fresh and the batter is not thick. But this last visit, I noticed the prices has jumped considerably. For the amount of money you are paying you think you were in Red Lobster which they are not. I don't think I would be going back there again.

They serve the freshest fish filets.Great onion rings,zucchini strips, and french fries. They cook with peanut oil. So there is no greasy food.Wonderful service and a fresh salad bar.
