I've had lunch at NYPD a few times with friends. It is an excellent place to have lunch dining in, or take out. The servers are very quick & friendly, and the food is excellent. Try the chopped veggy salad (and share it with a friend - it's huge!!) It will come with unlimited bread & you've got to ask for the fresh roasted garlic to spread on your bread - yum yum!!

I have passed by this restaurant many times and never went in. This time I did and was I surprised! The atmosphere is so friendly, and the food is awesome!! I have never eaten better eggplant in my life! The owner came over to greet us and chatted as did some of the servers. They were suggesting all sorts of yummy foods for us to try. This is my favorite casual restaurant. I highly recommend it!
