El Charro Cafe

Great food but even better margaritas. Tried the summer special marg - Strawberry Lemonade and loved it!

El Charros food is excellent, but the service tends to leave something to be desired. I've been here multiple times, the carne seca is some of the best I've had, the guac is yummy and the cheese quesidillas are perfect. However drinks are slowly brought out and rarely filled, they won't work with you and tend to bring the wrong orders. Once you get the food then everything is good.

I have been going to El Charro Cafe for many years and I am never disappointed with the food. The restaurant boasts their specialty, Carne Seca, a dry, spicy shredded beef that is KILLER. It is incredibly delicious and the food is not greasy at all. I have yet to find another Mexican restaurant in AZ that comes close.

There are several locations throughout Tucson, but the best one by far is the one located in Downtown Tucson. Unfortunately the last couple of times I visited the Speedway location, the service was not spectacular. The waiter was not too friendly.

Otherwise, I would give this place a 10! I wish they would open up in Phoenix!
